Frequently asked questions

With over three decades worth of experience, its fair to say we’ve experienced a lot of change in the industry. Our mission is to provide the UK’s brightest businesses with a leading edge platform capable of building new use cases and enabling ambitious growth. We’re looking for fresh perspectives and established expertise to deliver the exceptional levels of service our clients expect.
Interviewing is a two-way process - we want to get to know you and we want you to get to know us. We’d recommend reading up on Pulsant on our website and in the news. Think about what it is specifically about Pulsant and this role that interests you and prepare some questions so you can get a better understanding of the company, working environment and the role.
Yes, we do - get in touch at careers@pulsant.com
Your first two weeks at Pulsant will be very structured, with numerous introductions scheduled and training materials mapped out. You will be given an induction from our People team and allocated a buddy who can answer any question, no matter how big or small. You’ll have a kick-off meeting with your people leader, where you will discuss expectations, the scorecard of your role, and how you can thrive at Pulsant. You will also be invited to a quarterly in-person induction day hosted by the CEO and Chief People Officer, to meet other recent new starters and the Executive team and gain a more in-depth overview of the business and strategy. Last but not least, you will be welcomed on day one with a big social pizza lunch, to get to know the team informally and fuel your brain and belly!

Nurture and Grow is one of our core values and we want Pulsant to be a career highlight for you. You’ll be in the driving seat of your career here, and we’ll provide a range of resources and opportunities that will help you to accelerate your career journey and empower you to reach your full potential.

  • You’ll have access to a Udemy Business licence for a wealth of quality technical, business and leadership e-learning.
  • We’ll provide you with access to any relevant technical workshops and certifications to help you on your professional journey.
  • Regular one-to-ones with your people leader help you to identify and improve upon skills and goal to continue your professional development.

We have three main office locations (Maidenhead, Edinburgh and Gateshead) and 14 data centres. Each location offers private parking.

For office-based positions Pulsant’s hybrid working policy offers 2 days a week working from home, in addition to the 3 days working in the office.

If you have other flexible working requirements outside of this we encourage you to enquire via careers@pulsant.com,  we will always investigate whether they can be accommodated for that specific role.

Great conversations are at the heart of our performance approach, ensuring you have regular discussions and feedback from your people leader that help you achieve your outcomes.

In the first six months your people leader will work closely with you on some clear short term goals to help you get settled and ensure we’re providing you with all the support you need to be successful. Beyond this, we have a regular performance cycle where you’ll work with your people leader to set goals at the start of the year, which are aligned to the organisation's priorities for the year ahead, and then monitor these regularly throughout the year, including the chance for a more formal check-in at mid and at the end of the year where ratings are also applied. These provide a valuable opportunity to reflect, discuss successes and any challenges and ensure you’re clear on how you’re progressing.

We have a performance related pay ethos and each year we review salaries in line with external market factors (cost of living etc.) Pulsant’s performance and business considerations as well as individual performance. Everyone who has completed their six-month probation is eligible to be considered for our annual salary review, which happens in February.

Alongside our performance management process, Pulsant likes to take the time to celebrate the contribution of our people through our VIP and Long Service Awards:

  • VIP Awards. We encourage our people to nominate individuals and teams across Pulsant, where they see exceptional demonstration of our company values. Each month three winners receive a £250 award, and each quarter a winning team will share £750. All our winners are also submitted into our annual awards, where winners receive an additional £1000.
  • Long Service Awards: We want Pulsant to be a place our people can thrive for many years, and we celebrate the many people who choose to stay with Pulsant and see their careers grow with Awards of between £200-£1,250 awarded for long-service at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years service.

If you need accommodations during the application or interview process, please contact us to discuss your request at careers@pulsant.com
