ScoLocate’s latest upgrade of its datacentre is the third expansion project undertaken in partnership with Keysource and successfully delivers an additional 1MW of capacity capable of handling high density IT equipment.
This upgrade has created a dedicated data hall for an existing customer that will utilise 800kW of the added capacity, whilst the remaining 200kW will be used as part of a new managed hosting suite to enhance ScoLocate’s ITIL-based cloud services, ScoCloud. The latest phase of development at the site uses Keysource’s proven Ecofris cooling solution to achieve high levels of efficiency. As a result the facility is expected to operate with free cooling for more than 98% of the year and achieve an annualised PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of below 1.2. Meanwhile, the datacentre also provides the highest levels of resilience with 2N electrical infrastructure, back-up power generation and N+2 cooling systems.
