Head Resourcing Chooses Lumison Private Cloud for Growth
Lumison is delighted to announce that leading recruitment firm Head Resourcing has chosen to invest in a Private Cloud solution to host their IT applications.
Head Resourcing is a key player in the IT and Business Change recruitment market and performance and compliance are critical to the smooth operation of their business.
Dr Aydin Kurt-Elli, COO of Lumison, said, “The benefits of cloud services are well recognised in terms of 24/7 support for underlying IT infrastructure, as well as the cost and carbon reduction possible through use of virtualisation”. He added, “Public Cloud services that are generally available remain problematic for mid-sized and growing organisations, particularly those with security and compliance requirements that require due diligence and transparent operating practices”.
Gordon Adam, Managing Director of Head Resourcing said, “Our company is rapidly expanding, including a large group of staff who work outside office hours in different time zones. We required a resilient and secure IT solution that is accessible 24/7 to enable us to continue to meet our service obligations to our clients. Lumison’s Private Cloud meets our security and service needs and also delivers at least 80% carbon and 20% cost reductions compared to a traditional model for IT deployment. This new IT infrastructure will assist Head Resourcing in its future expansion plans”.
Lumison is providing Head Resourcing with a Private Cloud service to support managed exchange for email and collaboration, hosting for business and database applications and managed firewall and VPN services. These facilities will be fully integrated into the Head Resourcing network. By joining the existing Active Directory and network into the Private Cloud solution Head Resourcing benefits from an integrated IT infrastructure. This removes disruption and provides seamless transition to a secure, managed cloud service.
There is no question that cloud services, in a variety of guises are here to stay and this project shows that the public cloud can be supported through high quality, business-class private cloud services.
